Amitabh Bachchan's Top Ten Movies (List) 75
Here is the list of my personal favorites :
1) Zanjeer :
The movie which saw first glimpse of angry young man in amitabh bachchan. He was chosen for the role after dharmendra and devanand could not do the movie. Dharmendra had dates issue while devanand wanted some romantic songs. Finally amitabh bachchan was chosen. Working along with veteran pran and cool ajit , amitabh not only did hold his ground but gave a performance which was hailed by people and critics.
2) Deewar :
"Mein aaj bhi faike hue paise nahi udhata".The angry young man had some fabulous dialogues in the movie. Story of two brothers , one becoming smuggler and another police officer worked perfectly for yash rajs and big b.
3) Trishul :
Awesome movie in which amitabh bachchan playes abandoned child of rich builder who ditches big b's mother for prosperous career. Big B plays his role to perfection . Movie has some wonderful songs and dialogues.
4) Kabhi Kabhi :
Again a multi starrer movie with theme of two lovers sacrificing their love for family and settling down according to wishes of family.
It has some fabulous songs , dialogues and shayari . Big b's voice does full justification with the shayaris.
5) Abhimaan :
Amitabh Bachchan without action scenes?.Well abhimaan dealt with clash of egos between husband and wife. Wife being more talented than husband.
Movie featured amitabh and jaya bachchan who are real life couple.
6) Sholay :
There cannot be another sholay goes the saying. Even ramesh shippy cannot remake it if he tries to. The movie had perfect ingredient and smallest character like kaliya , sambha and a k hangal became household name.
Amitabh bachchan played role of person with few words who along with fighting dakoos falls in love with widow.
The movie is cult movie and biggest movie of bollywood for all times.
7) Mein Azad Houn :
It didnt make a commercial success but it was big experiment by amitabh bachchan in those times. Wonderful movie about a newspaper who create fictitious character which becomes superhit. The character who criticizes the governance and takes it head on. Then reporter hires amitabh bachchan to play that character. People's faith and hope lies on this character and how he lives up to it.
Wonderful movie and must watch

He changed his voice for this movie. "Vijay dinanath chauhan-pura naam" is one of the dialogue which is known by almost every Indian.
Agnee path is perhaps amitabh bachchan's personal favorite movie and in this movie he recites his dad's poetry.
9) Black :
Just when we thought we had seen all of amitabh bachchan he came up with fabulous performance in black. Rani mukherjee's most challenging role till date , amitabh bachchan plays her teacher and mentor in the movie.
10) Paa :
A 66 year old playing role of 13 year old!!!!!!!!..Unprecedented in bollywood but amitabh bachchan plays his role to perfection. Playing a child with progeria , big b does complete justice to the role.
